Rhythmic Stretching Exercise
For cancer patients and public, the Society promotes physical exercise as part of cancer prevention lifestyle. The recommended guideline for exercise by NCCS is to do at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic exercises a week (with each session lasting at least 10 minutes) and resistance training at least 2 non-consecutive days per week.
Rhythmic Stretching Exercise is the signature exercise of 365CPS. These exercises are conducted daily to weekly over virtual platform and 18 outdoor locations across the island. The exercises not only help to strengthen one’s body, improve blood circulation and immunity, they also help the participants to maintain blood pressure and lower their risk of cancer.
Do consult your doctor before you start any exercise program.

Testimonials
During the circuit breaker, I participated in 365CPS online activities and one of them is Detox Exercise. For me, the most challenging part of the Detox Exercise is the tiptoe exercise as I have numbness on all my toes due to chemotherapy. After going through the weekly class, I find that I could balance better as compared to before. Overall, I am happy that the Detox Exercise has helped to improve my muscle strength and boost my endurance.
Stepping out of my house is always a challenge as I had to deal with my cancer condition. I was often lethargic and did not see the purpose of interacting with people. Upon hearing that there is a centre near my house, I took a giant step to join the detox exercise class. After attending the classes, I slowly stepped out of my “self-confinement” and find my community. My body strength has regained with more energy and perkiness after detox exercise.
